Fitness Friday

Fitness Friday is a time for a group of individual families to work together to provide P.E. for their children. Fitness Friday was started to bring families together, to provide physical exercise for their children, to help teach good sportsmanship and character traits, and to provide a connection point for homeschooling parents (and for those who are considering homeschooling who have preschool-aged children). Fitness Friday is not affiliated with any particular church or home school group. Any homeschooling family who lives in Siloam Springs or surrounding area is welcome to meet with us. We meet on the second and fourth Fridays of each month, and children through 8th grade are welcome to participate! For more information: Email Us

Hip Homeschoolers Message Board

This is an online and face to face community for area homeschool families, offering different informal opportunities to get together and make friends. Field trips, "playdates," etc. There will be online forums to participate in (to discuss different areas of homeschooling/curriculum/ages/buy sell & trade) and more. This group is currently being opened to folks in the western benton county area... siloam springs, gravette, gentry, decatur, etc. This group is not intended to take the place of other established groups but rather to compliment them by offering an informal way to connect with other local families on a more regular and personal basis (face to face and online). Mothering Matters

MM meets the first and third Fridays of each month from 9:30-11:30, September through May at Siloam Bible Church. The first meeting will be a playdate at the Bob Henry Park on Friday, August 23, from 9-11 a.m. Main meetings on first Fridays feature a speaker and group discussion. A Care Group Bible study and one free hour of childcare for moms are offered each third Friday of the month. A suggested donation of $3 is collected anonymously at main meetings to cover materials. Quality childcare with age-appropriate activities and caring volunteers is provided free for infants through pre-kindergarten and homeschooled children. Mothers of all stages are welcome to come, from moms-to-be to grandmothers! If you'd rather come and play with kids, we are seeking loving volunteers to staff our Wee Matters childcare program. If you are interested in learning more about Mothering Matters or becoming a volunteer, please call the church office to be directed to Mothering Matters leadership. 479-524-3963
